Pitching workshop
Unfortunately due to tube strikes taking place in London, this event will now be online. If you have registered already, you should have received the Zoom link.
For the first time, we are organising a pitching workshop. We’ll be hearing from a panel of editors on what makes a good pitch, and our members will have the chance to pitch their own ideas to commissioning editors and get instant feedback.
Join us for what promises to be a fascinating session. It’s your chance to see how journalists and editors think, to understand how they decide whether to publish a story or not and to ask questions. You can also watch a few members pitch their own stories, but you don’t have to pitch in order to attend.
On the panel, we will have three highly experienced editors whose organisations have a global reach.
• Isabel Choat, Commissioning Editor, Global Development, The Guardian
• Safaa Faisal, News Editor, BBC World Service
• Andy Lee, Series Producer, Unreported World, Channel 4
The form to submit pitches is now closed, but you can still register to attend the event and participate in the Q&A section.
